Salalah is the most important city in the Sultanate of Oman, after the capital Muscat. Salalah has excellent infrastructures in terms of road networks, an international airport and a busy port. Salalah has many archaeological sites dating back to different periods. The most important is the ancient city of Al Baleed, listed among the world heritage sites by Unesco, and dating back to the third millennium BC.The site of Al Baleed is included in the Al Baleed Archaeological Park. Here you can visit the Museum of the Frankincense Land with a History Hall and Maritime Hall, you can stop at the Books& Gift Shop and buy some traditional Omani handicrafts. Al Baleed Park include also a model of Wadi Dowkah and a botanic garden. You can take your tour around the ancient city with electric vehicles and enjoy the lagoon on board of two boats.
The next stopover will be the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Mosque, inaugurated in 2009 and now one of the landmarks in Salalah. The 40,419 squares meters mosque is surrounded by a boundary wall with four entrances. It can accommodate 5000 worshippers at a time!
The third station is the official palace of His Majesty the Sultan – Al Husn palace. From here you can visit the old al Husn Souq and the Haffah Souq where you can buy pretty Omani souvenirs, along with arts and crafts.
Fourth station you can drink the fresh coconut water from the stalls scattered in Salalah and taking some local fruits like banana or visiting Omani (Halwah)Sweets shops.
You will be back at the hotel for lunch (4hours/ half day).

If you want to complete the program and enjoy a full day outside, the fifth station will be the largest mall in the city, Salalah Gardens Mall, where you can find branches of the most famous, international coffee shops, restaurants and you can also buy international marks of perfumes, accessories and ready-made garments.
The sixth stop will be the Gold market where you sellers offer beautiful gold jewellery were is the Downtown you can find many shops and exchanges.
The dinner will be at your hotel or in a local restaurant before going back to the hotel (8 hours, full day).
